TeachMatch are looking for dedicated and compassionate ALN Specialist Teaching Assistants to support teachers in creating a nurturing and effective learning environment for students. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children in ALN settings, particularly those with complex special educational needs, and disabilities.
Responsibilities:
Assist teachers in planning and delivering tailored, engaging lessons to meet the needs of individual students.
Provide one-on-one support and tutoring for students who have ALN
Promote a positive learning environment by encouraging student participation and engagement.
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to share progress updates and address any concerns.
Help maintain a safe, organised, and conducive classroom environment.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills in mentoring and supporting children.
Requirements:
Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is essential, however, if you have experience in a support-based role within a residential setting or have a family member that you have supported with a disability or an ENC, we encourage you to apply.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff.
Experience or training in special education or working with students on the autism spectrum is highly desirable.
A passion for supporting young learners with ALN and fostering their academic and personal growth.
Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards supporting diverse learning needs.
