Primary Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and well-regarded primary school in Severn Beach, near Bristol. Location: Severn Beach, Bristol, South Gloucestershire, UK
Salary: 90 - 100 per day (dependent on experience, including holiday pay)
Contract Type: Term Time Only, Full-Time
Start Date: 1st September 2025

Primary Teaching Assistant responsibilities:

• Support pupils in the classroom across all primary year groups
• Create and maintain a safe, engaging and positive learning environment
• Assist with behaviour regulation using restorative practices
• Work closely with teachers to deliver tailored learning support
• Encourage and motivate pupils to reach their full potential

Requirements:

• GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade A -C / 9-4) or equivalent
• A kind, patient, and compassionate approach
• Willingness to learn and work as part of a team
• Desire to make a positive difference in the community
