“Our school is amazing! We have a great team and there is always lots to do.” Kempsford C of E Primary is seeking to appoint a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work with and support a child joining our Reception group in September. Initially on a part-time timetable, it is hoped that with the right support and encouragement we can fully integrate the child, which will, with time, increase the contracted hours of support.
If you are a caring and enthusiastic team player, with high expectations for pupil behaviour, achievement and progress, we would love to hear from you.
We are looking for someone who will
• Build positive, professional relationships with children, parents and staff
• Work flexibly and with imagination as part of our small friendly team
• Have the expertise to confidently support a child with additional needs
• Recognise the importance of their wellbeing and emotional needs, as well as supporting their academic development
• Be willing to supervise during lunchtime, promoting positive relationships and play opportunities while supporting pupil wellbeing.
• Be willing to undertake training (there are opportunities for continual profession development within the school and further afield)
Visits to the school are warmly welcomed.
The post is offered with a salary of Grade 4 (Point 7) on fixed-term basis in the first instance (to 31st August 2027) subject to 6 months’ probation, with the possibility of permanence after that.
This is a part-time post for 16.25 hours a week, Monday-Friday mornings (8:45 to 12:00 including breaks). Term time only, relevant INSET days on a claim basis.
The post will begin on 1st September 2026.
This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and expects all staff, and volunteers, to share the same commitment. This position is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
