St David’s CofE Primary School is looking for two 1:1 Teaching Assistants to join our school team and support pupil learning in class. You will be working with a named pupil under an EHCP; your contract will be linked to this EHCP, therefore if the child’s needs change or the child leaves the school, the contract will be amended accordingly.

The successful candidate will:

- Have the ability to build supportive relationships with children providing the necessary guidance and instruction to help pupils grow towards achieving their full potential
- Be patient and have a positive attitude
- Have strong behaviour management skills and a variety of behaviour management strategies
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to support the child’s needs
- Be enthusiastic and willing to contribute to the busy life of the school
- Have experience working with children who have cognition and learning needs
- Be supportive of the Christian ethos of the school

These posts are offered as a salary of Grade 3 Point 5-6 (depending on the candidate) on a fixed-term basis as each is linked to an EHCP. These posts begin on 1 September 2026.

These posts are part-time positions, with the following hours:

- Position 1: 15 hours per week (Monday-Friday, 9am-12pm)

- Position 2: 21 hours 40 minutes per week (Monday-Friday, 8.40-2pm)
