The Governors are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, nurturing and committed 1:1 SEND Specialist Teaching Partner to join our happy and dedicated team.

This role is linked to a Key Stage 1 child with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) and is therefore fixed-term for the duration of the child’s attendance at our school. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the child’s communication and interaction needs, as well as enabling full access to learning.

We are looking for someone who:
• Has experience supporting children with additional needs, particularly speech, language and communication difficulties
• Can build warm, trusting and secure relationships with young children
• Demonstrates patience, empathy and a calm, nurturing approach
• Can adapt learning activities to motivate and engage pupils through their individual interests
• Is confident working in partnership with teachers, parents and external professionals to implement EHCP provision
• Is proactive, flexible and committed to ensuring every child achieves their full potential
• Works effectively as part of a team and contributes positively to the wider life of the school

We can offer you:
• A warm, welcoming and supportive working environment
• Friendly and collaborative colleagues
• Opportunities for professional development and SEND-focused training
• Ongoing support from experienced leaders and external professionals
• Enthusiastic children who enjoy learning and display positive behaviour

We welcome visits to the school.

This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and expects all staff, and volunteers, to share the same commitment. This position is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
