Are you someone who is able to provide effective support to children, enabling them to achieve their best and become confident and independent learners?
We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our supportive team at Bussage C of E Primary School to provide 1:1 SEND support and breaktime support. The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers and SENDCo to provide individualised learning and classroom support. This will in lower KS2. Your role will be to enable children to learn and flourish within our inclusive school community.
The successful candidate will:
• Have a passion for working with children to bring out their best attributes
• Have experience of supporting children with Special Educational Needs (desirable but not essential).
• Be patient, nurturing and flexible in their approach.
• Be able to identify adaptations for work set to ensure children can access their learning fully.
• Have high expectations of pupil’s learning behaviours.
• Work effectively as part of a team, building positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
• Be committed to promoting our school’s Christian values and creating a safe, supportive and inspiring environment for every child.
• Be enthusiastic and committed to working as a member of a team.
• Show initiative and creativity in adapting learning opportunities to meet individual needs.
• Be able to support a child’s non-teaching time by promoting a relaxed, calm and safe breaktime period.

This post is fixed-term initially until 31st August 2027 however, as this post is specifically linked to a child, therefore should they leave the school the post will end following a period of notice.
The post is for 5 days a week, starting at 8:45 am to 12 pm daily. Therefore, this role is 3.25 hours per day with a total of 16.25 hours per week.
There may be an opportunity for this role to be shared so please do apply if you are wanting less hours as this may be possible. There may also be an opportunity for increased hours should the successful candidate have availability.
