Cheltenham

JOB LOCATION - Prestbury, Cheltenham - Gloucestershire

JOB TYPE - Part-time (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, 3 days per week), 9:30am- 2:30pm
(4.5 hours per day) with 30 mins unpaid lunch, 13.5 hours per week

HOLIDAY/COMPANY SHUTDOWN - You will have 13 weeks paid holiday per year, taken in line with the Gloucestershire school holidays timetable.

REPORTS TO - Sarah Webb, Business Development Executive

BASIC SALARY - £8,775 per annum, (£12.50 per hour up to 37.5 hours per week, £16.67 for weekly hours over 37.5), negotiable based on experience

BONUS SCHEME - 4,000 heads Termly targets x 3, 12,000 heads Annual target (must have also achieved each termly target in that academic year), £250 Bonus termly x 3, £1,000 bonus annually (only if achieved all x 3 termly targets in that academic year). You will be paid 20p per head booked, up until 12,000 heads and then 40p per head for heads above 12,000 per academic year.

OBJECTIVE -

DSP Photography Ltd operates as a school photography business, delivering professional photography packages and organised shoot days to nurseries and schools.

We require a part-time Telephone Sales Executive, you will be a customer-facing, office-based professional responsible for generating and converting leads through telephone, email, and digital communication. You will build strong relationships with schools and nurseries. The Telephone Sales Executive will present DSP Photography Ltd’s products and services remotely, negotiate sales terms, and close deals to meet agreed sales targets.

You will act as a key point of contact between DSP and its customers by understanding their needs and recommending suitable photography solutions whilst maximising sales revenue.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES -
➢ Prospecting and lead generation - Identifying potential clients through market research, networking, and outreach to generate new sales opportunities
➢ Sales - To achieve sales targets by recruiting new schools. Cold calling and other such sales generating methods.
➢ Quotations - Preparing detailed proposals and quotes for clients, including pricing, terms, and conditions.

➢ Closing Deals - Successfully converting sales opportunities by addressing objections, presenting compelling value propositions, and securing commitments from clients.
➢ Records - To keep effective sales and customer notes so that the whole business knows the up-to-date information regarding schools.
➢ Paperwork - To complete booking forms, sample request forms and any other paperwork relevant to successful bookings or cancellations. To complete information on job sheets and customer records. To ensure all information is noted for future job requirements.
➢ Sales Management - Managing the sales pipeline by qualifying leads, scheduling meetings, following up with prospects, and moving them through the sales process.
➢ Presentations - To create, develop and give sales presentations to schools. To provide a professional sales service to new potential clients through demonstrating DSP’s options and sales availability
➢ Adherence - Ensuring adherence to quality standards and company expectations.
➢ Relationships - Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with existing and potential clients and staff by understanding their needs and providing excellent customer service.
➢ Liaise with customers - Undertaking ad hoc requests by schools or parents, ensuring that the task is completed, checked and adheres to the specific requirements of the job.
➢ Management support - Any other activities as required, to support the company and Managing Director.
➢ Sharing Workload - Able to be flexible with working hours and open to overtime in busy periods.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE -

➢ Previous sales experience is essential
➢ Fully competent in Google packages with an ability to use all software independently is essential

SKILLS -

➢ Work independently with ability and confidence, whilst being compliant with internal policies and processes
➢ Strong presentation and negotiation abilities
➢ Persuasive selling techniques
➢ Ability to handle objections and overcome challenges
➢ Great verbal and written communication skills for a diverse range of clientele
➢ Polite and friendly attitude, with a good sense of humour
➢ Strong networking skills to build relations with prospective and existing clients
➢ Able to be flexible with working hours during busy periods
➢ Able to take direction and managerial feedback in a positive manner 
➢ Flexibility to cover the changing needs of the business at each academic term

BONUS & COMMISSION, ACADEMIC YEAR 2025/2026

Your performance bonus is based on your ability to book heads. If you meet your termly
sales targets, you will receive a bonus each term and an additional bonus at the end of the
academic year.

You will be paid 20p per head for personal leads resulting in successful bookings up to
12,000 heads per academic year and 40p per head for successful bookings over 12,000
heads per academic year.

Note Whole School groups of any kind can no longer be claimed for in any way unless they
are private schools.

Autumn term target is 4,000 new head bookings from personal leads (20 pence per head
equates to £800 paid to you). If achieved a target achievement bonus of £250 will be paid at
the end of term.

Spring term target is 4,000 new head bookings from personal leads (20 pence per head
equates to £800 paid to you). If achieved a target achievement bonus of £250 will be paid at
the end of term.

Summer term target is 4,000 new head bookings from personal leads (20 pence per head
equates to £800 paid to you). If achieved a target achievement bonus of £250 will be paid at
the end of term.

Once you have achieved 12,000 heads booked in a full academic year you will receive a
bonus of £1000.
