Temporary Finance assistant - Immediate start
Cheltenham
Finance assistant needed urgently to offer our prestigious client temporary support in Cheltenham. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with key financial tasks, including invoicing, purchase ledger and general administration.
This role is ideal for someone with a keen eye for accuracy and a strong understanding of finance administration.
Job Title: Finance Assistant
Location: Cheltenham
Salary: £15-£16 per hour
Job Type: Temporary assignment
Hours: Monday-Friday 09:00-17:30
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and generate sales invoices accurately and in a timely manner
- Maintain and manage the purchase ledger, ensuring all supplier invoices are verified and processed
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures
- Support financial processes
- Communicate effectively with internal departments and external suppliers regarding financial queries
- Maintain accurate and organised financial records
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience in a finance or accounting role is desirable
- Knowledge of financial systems and accounting software is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
