As Transport Manager, you'll take responsibility for the safe, compliant and efficient day-to-day running of transport operations. You'll lead drivers and operational teams, ensuring legal compliance, exceptional customer service and high operational standards are maintained at all times.
You'll work closely with fleet, workshop and depot teams to maximise vehicle availability while promoting a strong culture of health and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Lead, coach and support transport teams
- Manage driver compliance, working hours and transport legislation
- Conduct driver debriefs and performance reviews
- Monitor fleet compliance and vehicle availability
- Deliver toolbox talks and health & safety initiatives
- Ensure Operator Licence and FORS compliance
- Support employee wellbeing and development
- Drive continuous improvement across transport operations
- Transport Manager CPC (essential)
- Experience within transport, logistics or waste management
- Strong understanding of Drivers' Hours and Operator Licence legislation
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Good IT skills including Microsoft Office
- Full UK Driving Licence
- LGV Class 2 licence desirable
Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 Annual +
Hours Per Week: Full Time
