We're looking for an organised and customer-focused Transport Operations Assistant to join our busy Transport Team.

In this varied and fast-paced role, you'll play a key part in ensuring our tours run smoothly by supporting drivers, coach operators, tour managers and customers with day-to-day operational and logistical queries across the UK and Europe. You'll work closely with colleagues across the business to help deliver exceptional holiday experiences while providing vital administrative support to our transport operation.

The main duties for this varied and service delivery-based role will include the following:

• Act as a primary point of contact for drivers and coach operators, ensuring they have the information and support needed to deliver our tours to the highest standard.
• Assist with the planning and logistical delivery of our coach operations, including tour routing and scheduling.
• Coordinate feeder vehicle requirements and transport arrangements.
• Deal efficiently and effectively with incoming telephone calls and emails from external (coach operators, taxi operators, ferry companies, tour managers, and hoteliers) as well as internal departments such as Finance, Operations, Administrations, Reservations, and customers.
• Assist with the planning and booking of customer flight and rail travel.
• Maintain accurate information across our internal systems (T4 and jNet).
• Prepare and distribute driver itineraries and customer pick-up lists before tour departures.
• Manage last-minute customer changes and cancellations, ensuring all relevant stakeholders are kept informed (coach operators, drivers, feeder operators, port staff, on-call staff, Reservations, hoteliers).
• Support the management of transport supplier compliance records, ensuring vehicles are appropriately insured, roadworthy and meet company standards.
• Work on a rota basis to cover the after-hours phone (after training), as well as working regular weekends, plus mid-week on a rota with early and late shift patterns.
• Work collaboratively with our Customer Contact Team to resolve lost property enquiries efficiently and cost-effectively.
• Occasionally accompany visits to key transport providers.

We're looking for a highly organised and proactive individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, who is passionate about delivering outstanding customer service. The successful candidate will be able to prioritise a varied workload, work effectively as part of a team, and use their own initiative to solve problems and make informed decisions. Strong IT skills and confidence in using a range of computer systems are essential.

Previous experience in the travel, tourism or coach operations industry would be advantageous, but we also welcome applications from candidates with experience in logistics or other operational roles. A good knowledge of UK geography would be beneficial. Full training will be provided to support the successful candidate in developing the knowledge and skills needed for the role.

As our tours operate 24 hours a day, every day of the week, flexibility in terms of working hours is an absolute must.
