Business Administrator – Compliance & Operations

They are currently recruiting for a Business Administrator to join their hardworking and motivated team based near Slimbridge, Gloucestershire.
This is a varied role that would suit someone who enjoys taking ownership of business processes and has experience introducing, implementing or updating policies, procedures, legislation or compliance requirements within an organisation.
Working closely with the Operations Manager and Managing Director, you will provide reliable administrative, compliance and operational support across the business, ensuring that relevant legislation and requirements are understood, implemented and maintained effectively.
Responsibilities:
-Monitor relevant UK and EU legislation and industry requirements, identifying actions required by the business and keeping the Operations Manager and Managing Director updated
-Take ownership of introducing and implementing new or updated policies, procedures and requirements
-Complete and maintain supplier and customer compliance documentation accurately and promptly
-Maintain export descriptions and supporting records, ensuring new parts and product categories are correctly recorded
-Take responsibility for COSHH administration, including maintaining Safety Data Sheets, supporting reviews and updating related records and risk assessments
-Prepare and collate documentation for audits, liaising with external providers and relevant colleagues
-Provide day-to-day GDPR administration and support
-Support with logistics and warehouse coordination, liaising with suppliers
-Identify areas where processes, policies or documentation need to be updated and take a proactive approach to implementing improvements
Candidate Attributes:
-Experience in an office-based business support, compliance or similar role
-Confidence in taking ownership of a process and seeing it through
-Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise
-Strong written and verbal communication skills
-Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office
-A proactive approach and willingness to learn and develop
Hours: Full time, Monday – Friday, 37.5 hours per week
Salary: Up to £30k per annum, depending on experience + free parking and inclusion in company social events
