Caring for Communities and People (CCP) is a charitable company, limited by guarantee, based in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. It has an annual income of some £10 million derived principally from the contractual provision of statutory services in the social welfare area on behalf of county councils.

It exists to transform the lives of children, young people, families and vulnerable adults by reducing the impact of homelessness, family breakdown, poverty and wider social exclusion. The aim is to prevent or mitigate the effect of Adverse Childhood Experiences which otherwise contribute to a recurring cycle of social deprivation. The charity seeks a qualified accountant to replace the current incumbent as Trustee and Treasurer, who is retiring.

The post is fully supported by a qualified finance director and a finance team. Board meetings standardly take place five times per year, with additional meetings and online communication as necessary. The incumbent would be expected to give general advice to the Board, the CEO and the senior leadership team and to assist in the setting of levels of remuneration and investment.
