Yard Assistant | Join a Growing Roofing & Building Supplies Business with Excellent Benefits!
Our client, a well-established roofing and building supplies business within the roofing materials and builders' merchant sector , based in Kingsditch, Cheltenham , has an exciting new opportunity for a Yard Assistant to join their team on a full-time permanent basis due to continued business growth and increased customer demand .
The successful Yard Assistant should have:
* Experience working within a yard, warehouse, builders' merchant or similar environment
* Strong awareness of health and safety procedures
* Excellent teamwork and communication skills
* Ability to work in a physically active role and handle manual tasks safely
* Good attention to detail when picking, loading and checking orders
In this role, the Yard Assistant will be responsible for:
* Receiving, unloading and checking incoming deliveries against documentation
* Picking, preparing and loading customer orders accurately and safely
* Assisting customers with collections and providing excellent service
* Maintaining stock accuracy and assisting with stock checks and stock rotation
* Ensuring the yard remains clean, organised and compliant with health and safety standards
Working Hours:
* Monday to Friday: 7:00am - 4:30pm
* 1 in 3 Saturdays: 7:30am - 11:30am
* 42-hour working week
Our client is offering the successful Yard Assistant a salary of £27,758 per annum (£12.71 per hour) plus an excellent benefits package including:
* 20 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays
* Additional paid Christmas shutdown days
