Role Overview
We are seeking a versatile Warehouse Operative & Manufacturing Assembly Engineer to join our team at Unit 1 Draycott Business Centre. This varied role splits your time between light electro-mechanical assembly and essential warehouse operations. You will take ownership of the production process from building sub-assemblies to preparing pallets for final dispatch. Full training is provided, making this an excellent opportunity to develop both technical assembly and logistics skills.
Key Responsibilities
Manufacturing & Assembly
• Perform precise, light electro-mechanical assembly work.
• Use hand tools, including pneumatic staple guns, to construct boxes and liners from flat-packed cardboard.
• Follow technical instructions and quality standards to ensure accurate product assembly.
Warehouse & Logistics
• Accept incoming goods and ensure correct placement in warehouse.
• Pick products to supply production from warehouse pallets.
• Operate an electric pallet stacker safely to move stock around the unit.
• Pack customer orders into boxes and accurately label and ensure all quality logs and checks are complete.
• Secure finished goods safely by wrapping and strapping pallets for transit.
• Keep the workspace clean, organised, and safe at all times.
Salary & Benefits
• Salary: £25,500 – £27,500 per annum (Depending on Experience).
• Bonus: Discretionary Annual Bonus of £500+
• Pension: Enrolment in standard UK employer pension scheme
• Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (40 hours per week). Flexitime options considered.

Requirements & Qualifications
• Education: Completion of full secondary education (University degree not required).
• Skills: Must have the ability to operate an electric pallet stacker safely with appropriate training. The applicant should be able to follow specific written work instructions and procedures with quality as a top priority. The use of basic tools such as pneumatic staple guns, hot air guns, and torque screwdrivers is a primary part of this role.
• Experience: Practical experience with pallet wrapping, strapping, and using basic tools is not essential but preferred.
• Attributes: Strong attention to detail, reliable timekeeping, and a hands-on approach.
