Warehouse Operative

We are seeking a reliable and physically capable Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various warehouse operations, including materials handling, stock management, and shipping and receiving activities. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with warehouse experience or mechanical knowledge to contribute to efficient warehouse functioning in a fast-paced environment. The position may involve heavy lifting and requires attention to safety protocols to ensure smooth daily operations.

Duties

• Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently
• Handle materials, including loading, unloading, and moving goods within the warehouse
• Assist with picking and packing orders for shipment
• Conduct shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Stock shelves and organise inventory in accordance with company standards
• Perform basic mechanical tasks related to equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
• Support construction-related activities as needed within the warehouse setting
• Ensure all health and safety regulations are adhered to during daily operations

Experience

• Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
• Familiarity with forklift operation is highly desirable
• Experience with materials handling, stock organisation, and shipping & receiving processes is beneficial
• Mechanical knowledge or background in construction can be an asset for troubleshooting equipment issues
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently over extended periods
• Proven ability to work well within a team in a busy environment
