Location: Gloucester

We are a leading UK wholesaler with 30 branches across the UK and Ireland, and we are continuing to grow. We are currently looking for a Warehouse Operative / Driver to join our busy and friendly team in Gloucester.

This is a varied role combining warehouse duties and customer deliveries, ideal for someone who enjoys working in a hands-on environment and delivering excellent customer service.

The Role

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering goods to customers using a company vehicle (up to 3.5 tonnes)
  • Planning delivery routes and communicating with customers regarding deliveries
  • Carrying out daily vehicle checks and ensuring the vehicle is kept clean and roadworthy
  • Loading and unloading deliveries safely (some heavy lifting required)
  • Picking, packing and checking orders accurately
  • Receiving and storing stock deliveries
  • Maintaining accurate delivery records and documentation
  • Keeping the warehouse clean, organised and safe
  • Following all health and safety procedures and using PPE provided

About You

  • Full UK driving licence
  • Experience in a warehouse or delivery role
  • Good standard of education including Maths and English
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Reliable, organised and a strong team player

A Forklift Truck Licence would be beneficial, but training can be provided.

The successful candidate will also take part in a rota-based out-of-hours standby service, including Bank Holidays.
