Mon-Thurs 8.00-16.15 Fri - 8.00-13.15

As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a compassionate and proactive Learner Liaison Officer to join our team — someone who will help our learners succeed personally, socially, and professionally throughout their learner journey.

About the Role

As our Learner Liaison Officer, you’ll be part of the Learner Services Team and your responsibilities will include:

  • Recording and reporting learner punctuality and absences, identifying and addressing barriers to learning, attendance, and engagement.
  • Scheduling, collating and carry out learner progress reviews, in line with DfE funding compliance, four times a year
  • Providing confidential welfare, safeguarding, and pastoral support to learners.
  • Supporting safeguarding procedures and maintaining accurate welfare records.
  • Working closely with tutors, employers, and peers to ensure learners’ wellbeing and progression
  • Promoting positive mental health, wellbeing, and personal and social development.
  • Delivering workshops and awareness sessions on topics such as resilience, equality, and personal safety.
  • Supporting the wider Learner Services Team with administration and communication as and when required

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Passionate about supporting young people’s welfare and development.
  • Experienced in safeguarding, mentoring, or student support (education or youth sector).
  • A great communicator — approachable, empathetic, and confident in challenging situations.
  • Organised and proactive, with the ability to manage a varied caseload.

Qualifications/Experience (desirable):

  • Experience in education, apprenticeships, youth work, or a similar environment.
  • Safeguarding Qualification (or willingness to train).
  • Mental health or counselling training (desirable).
