Do you have good business/finance skills? Do you have knowledge of HR, health and Safety, IT development or managing premises? Do you want to make a difference to your school and local community? If so, Gloucester Road Primary School and Nursery, are looking for a co-opted governor to join our governing body.
As a governor you will be a volunteer who makes a vital contribution to the success of the school. At Gloucester Road Nursery & Primary School we:

Co-opted governors can make the link between the world of work and education and constructively support the success of their local school. You don’t have to be an expert in education and we welcome interest from all walks of life to bring different perspectives and views. These roles are a rewarding and effective way of making a voluntary contribution to the lives of local young people.
If you are interested in our children’s future, have energy and enthusiasm to support the school we are looking for someone who can attend approximately nine meetings per year. Meetings are held in school, usually on Monday evenings from around 6.30pm to 8pm. Governors also spend time in school during the day (around two visits per year).
