Accounts Assistant

Our longstanding client, with an excellent working environment, is looking to take on a new Accounts Assistant. This is an amazing opportunity for someone looking for an entry-level position within a Finance team, who has the desire to gain hands-on experience whilst working towards a recognised qualification AAT Level 2.

We are looking for an Accounts Assistant who:

* Has begun, or is committed to completing the AAT Level 2 qualification
* Is able to get SC clearance due to the nature of the working environment
* Can demonstrate a basic understanding of accounting practices
* Is comfortable using MS Office, especially Excel, and generally computer-literate
* Has excellent attention to detail and accuracy in their work
* Shows good communication skills, with a good team spirit

In this role, the Accounts Assistant is responsible for:

* Inputting data accurately to the system and maintaining records
* Processing invoices, payments and expenses with excellent accuracy
* Applying knowledge gained during the AAT Level 2 study to proactively complete the qualification
* Carrying out bank reconciliations
* Assisting in month-end reporting and payroll functions
