Are you a finance professional looking to step into a role with real impact? Our client, is seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to support strategic decision-making and drive financial performance at their Gloucester site.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as a trusted business partner to cost centre managers, providing financial insights and analysis
Manage overhead accounting, including accruals, prepayments, and reporting
Maintain the fixed asset register and perform regular asset verifications
Lead monthly capital expenditure reviews with senior leadership
Assess capital investment proposals using financial modelling (NPV, Payback, IRR)
Ensure accurate overhead allocation and support budgeting, forecasting, and MTP planning
Prepare overhead reports for month-end and balanced scorecards
Support internal controls, annual audit preparation, and compliance activities
Lead finance process documentation and support internal audit readiness
Complete National Statistics returns and assist during external audits
What We're Looking For:
Solid background in financial reporting and P&L management
Commercially savvy, with advanced Excel skills
Strong analytical abilities with a talent for simplifying complex data
Confident communicator, able to engage with middle and senior management
Experience with Fourth Shift, Power BI, or FiT is an advantage
Previous exposure to MRO environments is a bonus
Flexible, responsive, and committed to continuous improvement
Skills & Competencies:
Innovative thinker with a global business mindset
Able to support target setting, budgeting, and strategic planning
Strong understanding of IFRS and internal financial controls
Clear in identifying and explaining variances to forecasts
Proficient in core accounting principles and processes

Strong communicator with excellent problem-solving skills
Dedicated to ongoing personal and professional development
Qualifications:
Part-qualified or finalist in CIMA, ACCA, or ACA
