Hays Accountancy & Finance are partnering with a leading and rapidly growing international Group within an interesting sector to recruit a driven and dynamic Group Accountant, based in Ross-On-Wye, Herefordshire. Reporting to the Financial Controller offering remote/office hybrid working and progression/development. This is a varied permanent opportunity involving financial reporting/analysis, consolidation of financial results, cash-flow management, along with involvement in group treasury processes and management reporting for group entities. This position is most suited to a part-qualified/newly qualified Accountant, open to candidates from both industry and practice. Qualified by experience finance professionals will also be considered.

Your new role

Key duties will involve maintaining accounting records and subsequent production of monthly management accounts for companies within the group, with supporting analysis and reconciliations. Monthly consolidation of financial results for reporting to CFO, CEO & Board, group treasury processes, cash flow management, analysis of group cash flow forecasting, and group currency requirements. You will be involved in intercompany balances, including reconciliations and investigations of amounts, management of the annual group budgetary process, business partnering with department managers to produce budget figures, and develop/improve the budgetary procedure. You will manage the group's insurance requirements, maintenance of group bank account listings, prepare year-end financial consolidation for audit with supporting schedules. You will be involved in process/system improvement projects, and ad-hoc duties for senior financial management.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this varied Group Accountant role, you will need experience in a similar position, part-qualified/newly qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA or qualified by experience, with strong MS excel skills. You will have strong commercial awareness, good technical accounting skills, strong communication skills to build relationships at all levels and key business partnering skills. You will be comfortable with various financial systems, and have a desire to improve processes/systems. You will be used to managing workloads and meeting deadlines, with a driven and analytical working approach. Experience working in multiple currencies, group consolidation experience, and transfer pricing transactions would be advantageous but not essential.

What you'll get in return

This permanent Group Accountant role is offering a salary between £38,000 - £45,000 per annum, dependable on experience based in Ross-On-Wye, Herefordshire.
