Assistant Management Accountant
Chalford, Stroud

Pangolin Editions is a world leading art foundry based in Chalford, Stroud. Our skilled, innovative and dynamic team of craftspeople originate, cast and fabricate art works and public sculpture from the very small to the monumental for some of the foremost artists of our time.
About the role
We are looking for someone part-qualified or QBE with a keen eye for detail and a willingness to get stuck in to join the small, friendly finance team, reporting to the Financial Controller. The role is varied and interesting and you will be accounting for the manufacturing processes in this creative industry.
You would be well supported and supervision and training would be given where necessary.
Key areas of the role:
- Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts (4 business units) for a manufacturing firm. Processing prepayments, accruals, VAT returns, fixed assets, WIP, COS and monitoring control accounts.
- Fixed Asset Register – ensuring regular maintenance and accuracy
- Project work to improve systems and implement change where needed
- Reporting costs on longer term projects and profitability on complete works
- Assisting with stock takes as and when required
- Undertaking financial administration and internal audits
- Providing support and holiday cover for the purchase ledger and sales ledgerteam as and when required
About you
- You will have strong Excel skills
- Ideally, you will have demonstrable experience with Sage 50 finance packages
- Previous manufacturing experience will be advantageous
- You will have experience with liaising with managerial staff and other colleagues in a friendly yet professional manner
- You will have strong mathematical skills and the ability to spot numerical errors

Salary: £30,000 - £38,000 per annum (pro rata if part-time)
