Tax Manager
Location: Cheltenham (Hybrid & Flexible Working)
Salary: Competitive, DOE

Are you an experienced Tax professional ready to take the next step in your career? This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established and growing firm of Chartered Accountants based in the heart of Cheltenham.

We’re working with a respected accountancy practice that delivers expert advice to a wide range of clients, from high-net-worth individuals to owner-managed businesses and partnerships across the UK. With a strong reputation for personal service and a supportive team culture, they’re now looking for a Tax Manager to join them at an exciting time of growth and development.

The Role
As Tax Manager, you will play a key role in managing and expanding the firm’s tax services. You’ll be the go-to for technical queries, client advice, and complex tax planning matters, supporting both personal and corporate clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Managing and reviewing a portfolio of personal and corporate tax clients

Providing expert tax planning and advisory services

Reviewing and submitting complex tax returns

Leading client meetings and building long-term relationships

Supporting junior members of the team with development and technical guidance

Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and HMRC guidelines

About You
Strong experience in UK practice, ideally in both personal and corporate tax

CTA qualified (or ACA/ACCA with strong tax expertise)

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Commercially aware with a proactive, client-focused approach

Confident in managing a varied workload and meeting deadlines

Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff is desirable
