Job description

Are you looking for a rewarding administration role that supports the health and wellbeing of young people with disabilities and like to give attention to detail?

Join National Star’s team and help us manage and audit medication including ordering and stock control, for a wide range of students and residents.

You’ll be a person able to build strong working relationships with key members of our team, including the residential manager and nurses as well as key people externally such as GPs and local pharmacies.

To be successful in this post it is essential to have a knowledge of medication logistics and being meticulous in your work. What’s more important is that you understand the need for confidentiality, are highly organised and will appreciate the need for us to comply with full range of technical pharmacy and clinical governance codes of practice and protocols.

You will be based in one of our residences working with the residential and nursing team but will be part of a team of medication administrators throughout the organisation, reporting to a Medication administrator team leader, who will guide and support you as you get to grips with the role. Being able to work on your own initiative is a key skill for this role, as is the ability to keep accurate records of medication for all students and residents.

This is a full time role working Monday to Friday. However you will be required to work a minimum of 1 Sunday in 4.

We welcome applications from people of all background and ages.
