Help to improve outcomes for children and young people with SEND in Gloucestershire

In Gloucestershire, our focus is on enabling an inclusive education system, providing the right support at the right time and in the right place. As a local authority we are committed to improving outcomes for children and young people and are investing in additional capacity to help us do this.

Gloucestershire’s Specialist Teaching and Educational Psychology Service (STEPS) provides advice and support to schools, settings and families to meet the needs of children and young people who may need additional help to meet short or long needs and fulfil their potential.

To deliver on service our objectives, we must have strong and capable administration support that offers a flexible, innovative and customer focused service. We have recently redesigned our administration teams to help us achieve this.

About You

We are looking for two experienced Administrators to join our Specialist Administration team, located in our Forest of Dean office. With the direction of the Business Administration Lead, you will support the service with a range of administration support functions including communications with schools, settings and parent carers.

The successful applicant should have and be able to demonstrate in their personal statement:

Knowledge and experience of working in education; working with systems such as Capita and Liquid Logic; and an understanding of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) would also be an advantage.

What you’ll get in return…

Successful candidates will join us at a time of change which offers opportunities to make a difference to the service we provide.   You would be part of a service that is supportive, offers development opportunities and cares passionately about people.

Please see job profile for more detail information on the role.
