Support Workers (No Sponsorship)

Job Title: Experienced Support Workers with Driving Licence
Location: Gloucester, The Forest of Dean, Hereford
Salary: £12.80- £14.80 per hour
Please note: We do not offer Certificate of Sponsorship for these roles.
We're seeking compassionate Support Workers with a caring nature based in and around Gloucestershire providing support & care to young people with diverse needs including Autism, Challenging Behaviours and other complex needs. Full-time and part-time. Drivers license is required for this role.
We have an abundance of shifts available, across The Forest of Dean, Hereford and Gloucester - that can fit around various schedules. We cannot offer sponsorship for these roles and due to the rural location of the shifts, a full UK driving licence is required
Key Responsibilities:
- Completing regular checks for health and welfare.
- Accompanying service users on day to day activites and days out.
- Supporting the client with their personal care needs.
- Being flexible with approach with service users, everyday will be different, with different challenges
- Use of moving and assisting equipment such as ceiling track hoists, electric wheelchairs, through the floor lifts, totos etc.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding procedures and a commitment to person-cantered care
- Encouraging independence where possible.
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience in the industry, minimum 6 months paid UK experience required
- Availability to attend in person 5 days of mandatory induction training in one of our offices (Cheltenham, Salisbury, or Chippenham).
- Experience with Challenging Behaviours
- Experience working with Austism and other complex needs
- ideally Oliver Mcgowan level 1 and 2 completed
