After School Club Play Worker - BG8
Hours: 12.5 hours, 3-5:30pm
Place of work: Initially based at Little Mead Primary Academy.
Contract: Permanent
Closing date: 19th August 2025
Interviews: Thursday 4th September or Friday 5th September 2025
The role will enable children to engage in a range of play opportunities and to participate in the day to day running of the scheme
Your daily routine will involve:
- To help create and maintain a sustainable After School Play Scheme.
- To enable children to engage in a range of play opportunities allowing for safe risks and challenges.
- To develop and maintain positive relationships with children, families and other team members.
- To supervise the children and take any action required to ensure their safety and welfare and to report any concern immediately to the After School Play Scheme Lead.
- To assist the After School Play Scheme Lead with ensuring that the play environment, including equipment and resources, is prepared and ready for the arrival of the children.
- To support individual children and assess their development through play.
- To use observation and reflective practice to contribute to planning and evaluation of activities.
- To support and develop a play environment which is inclusive for all and recognises and encourages diversity.
