Teacher of Biology

Dean Close School are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Biology to join our dynamic and well‑resourced Biology Department. This is a part time role, working part time up to 20 hours per week.
You will be joining a strong team of two full‑time and three part‑time teachers, supported by a full‑time technician, delivering high‑quality Biology teaching from Year 9 through to A Level and Oxbridge preparation.
The department occupies an entire floor within our Science building, featuring three modern laboratories, a preparation room, and excellent IT resources to enhance teaching and learning. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator who values innovation, practical science, and exceptional pupil experience.
You will be responsible for
- Deliver engaging and effective Biology lessons to pupils in Years 9–13.
- Contribute positively to department meetings and collaborative planning.
- Support the Head of Department with delegated tasks.
The successful candidate would have a Degree in Biology or a closely related field, and they would have proven experience in teaching Biology up to A Level.
