The Governing Body are looking to appoint a Clerk to Governors who will liaise the setting of agendas and minute taking at full governor body meetings and some committee meetings, in addition to on-going liaison and administrative duties.
The successful candidate must have excellent administrative skills ensuring that the Governors' time can be used to benefit the pupils and school effectively.
The successful candidate will advise the Governing Body on procedural issues, legal responsibilities and constitutional matters. Training will be provided depending on experience and professional development interests and needs of the successful candidate.
This role is for approximately 8 meetings per school year (circa 60-70 hours pa) term time only. Knowledge of how schools and Governing Bodies work would be an advantage but training will be provided. A willingness to work flexible hours is required as the workload is variable.
