Manual Machinist

Nixon Flowmeters are a precision engineering company with decades of experience, specialising in producing high accuracy instruments to many classes of industries.

We are currently seeking a skilled and versatile Manual Machinist to work in our small workshop on milling and turning of stainless steel components.

Main responsibilities:

• Operating manual lathes and milling machines.
• Ensuring precise machining working to tolerances.
• Producing good surface finishes both internally and externally.
• Cutting screw threads.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Inspecting machined components using measuring instruments.

Other responsibilities:

The role will also require involvement in assembly and fitting, using hand tools.

Full training can be provided if necessary.
