Our aim is to be a school where we all flourish, children and adults alike. The Governing Body of Saint John’s is seeking to appoint a School Business Manager. This is a permanent position to start in the Autumn Term.

We are looking for those who will:

• Line manage effectively and to set aspirational goals for admin/premises staff team
• Have experience of working within agreed and statutory policies, including safeguarding, finance and health and safety
• Maintain and update finance systems as agreed by the Head Teacher and working with the GCC Local Authority Finance Team or similar agency
• Support the Head Teacher to report financial matters to Governors
• Liaise with contractors, in line with finance and property policies, and ensure that maintenance, compliance and improvements to the school site are actioned, effectively
• Be organised and methodical in systems and processes, keeping clear and concise records, overseeing and monitoring practice, in line with GDPR compliance
• Have the ability to research and enquire to provide and share best practice
• Be willing to build strong community links
• Have enthusiasm and enjoy a busy, varied job role.

We can agree the start date, for the successful candidate, in accordance to resignation timescales. Preferably: September/October 2025. The starting salary will be agreed upon the business needs of the school and the experience of the successful candidate.
