An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Berry Hill family as our Child and Family Support Worker. This position involves working closely with the senior leadership team and presents an excellent chance to make a positive impact on the lives of our children and their families.
Berry Hill is a thriving, picturesque village on the outskirts of Coleford within 20 minutes of Ross-on-Wye, Lydney and Monmouth and 35 minutes of Gloucester. We are looking for a CFSW who:
• Shares our school vision of ‘The Berry Hill Family – Valued individuals, aspirational learners, exceptional futures’
• Is able to work with the headteacher (designated safeguarding lead) as a deputy designated safeguarding lead (DDSL) to promote the best interests of children, including sharing concerns where necessary
• Can work closely with children, parents, carers, families, staff, governors and external agencies to help overcome children’s barriers to learning, whether inside or outside school
• Can maintain regular communication, implement interventions, and liaise with relevant staff and professionals to ensure parents and carers are consistently engaged in children’s development and progress
• Can work closely with children, staff, parents and carers to reduce absence levels and act appropriately when persistent absence becomes a safeguarding issue

Hours are 32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (term time, plus inset, plus 2 weeks during school holidays). Part time requests will be considered.
