Looking for an exciting opportunity? Looking to be challenged? Looking for a place where laughter will be as important as hard work? A place where you could not only support the positive impact on individuals lives but a whole community? Look no further…. you may be looking at your future…
Thomas Keble School has a warm, inclusive environment that gives its students and staff every opportunity to achieve their best.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Art Technician to join our friendly, supportive team. The successful candidate will motivate, challenge, support and inspire our students. The ideal candidate ideally will have relevant experience in a similar role with a proven track record. Additionally, if you are looking to start a career in this area and without experience we would love to hear from you, and support you with your journey.
The Art Faculty at Thomas Keble is committed to ensuring that all students from KS3 and KS4 are exposed to a curriculum that offers them the opportunity of first class teaching and learning. A curriculum which offers full coverage of the vital key skills and knowledge needed in order to achieve high end outcomes at GCSE and to develop a love of the arts and the cultures that surround them.
The role of the Art Technician is to work with the Art faculty to facilitate the organisation and provision of art lesson materials in lessons, to support demonstrations where necessary, to maintain the cleanliness of the Art department and to ensure stock levels in the faculty are kept at the appropriate level. The role would suit someone who is organised and passionate about engaging with young people as they develop an appreciation and love for art.
I look forward to receiving your application (through the eteach website) and welcoming you to our school. For further details, please contact the Headteacher’s P.A., Ms. Amanda Oxberry, on 01452 770301 or email recruitment@thomaskeble.gloucs.sch.uk

Thomas Keble School is committed to safeguarding the welfare of children. Disclosure of any criminal convictions and an enhanced DBS check will be required for this post. It is an offence to apply for the role if you are barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children. The post may not be exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 as certain spent convictions and cautions are ‘protected’ and are not subject to disclosure. It is important that an applicant provides the School with upfront disclosure of all unspent convictions, cautions, reprimands or warnings. A failure to declare the above (that are not subject to the Disclosure and Barring Service filtering) may disqualify an applicant for appointment and may result in summary dismissal if the discrepancy comes to light subsequently.
