The opportunity has arisen to join the Forest of Dean locality Health Visiting Team as Team Leader. Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust has dynamic and evolving Health Visiting Teams within the 0-19 Public Health Nursing service. We have a permanent opportunity for an experienced and qualified SCPHN. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated professional, who wishes to develop their leadership and management skills, and improve health outcomes for children age 0-5 years and their families.
Gloucestershire Health & Care Foundation Trust are seeking a confident, professional and focused Health Visitor with public health knowledge and experience and clinical expertise who is fully committed to improving the health and wellbeing of our diverse preschool aged population.
As a Team Leader, you will work collaboratively with the other locality Team leaders within the county, to lead the Healthy Child Programme in order to provide high quality care and reduce health inequalities.
Main duties of the job
- Be responsible for the day to day management and prioritisation of the locality
- Providing clinical services that are aligned to commissioned and service expectations
- Leading and overseeing the identification and effective management of clinical risk, vulnerability and safeguarding issues including leading professional challenge & resolution/appropriate action
- Supporting daily operational priorities and tasks from a clinical perspective such as effective system flow through clinical/intervention pathways, regular review of Core Offer and Operational Handbook
- Provide line manager/locality lead responsibilities for designated staff which includes undertaking operational supervision, caseload management and other compliance/assurance/operational based duties in relation to delegated direct reports
- Supporting compliance around contractual Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) and the most effective and impactful use of resources.
