We are looking for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team. The post is to support the learning of children in our KS2 Class. Initially, this is a fixed term contract until 31st August 2026. The post will also include some lunchtime supervision.

The successful candidate must:
• Have knowledge and experience of working with children, preferably in a school setting
• Demonstrate a good knowledge and understanding of maths and English skills
• Be able to build positive working relationships with children, their parents and colleagues
• Be able to adapt and respond to the needs of the children
• Show good organisational skills
• Use their initiative in order to meet the needs of the children
• Have the skills and understanding of how to support children individually and in groups
• Have a good sense of humour and be willing to immerse themselves fully into the life of our village school
• Be able to inspire and motivate the children

The working hours are 31 hours a week, term time only. These will be Monday – Friday 8.20 – 3.00. This will include a 30-minute unpaid lunchbreak and 30 minutes lunchtime supervision (payable at a different rate).

Pauntley is part of the GPP Federation, which includes Glebe Infants and Picklenash Junior Schools. For the academic year 2025 – 26 you will be based at Pauntley, however, federation wide opportunities may be available in the future.
