ALS Transitions Coordinator (Foundation Studies) - REQ001263

The Additional Learning Support team is recruiting a new part time ALS Transitions Coordinator at
our Stroud campus to support the growing number of young people that require extended support
to access college. This role is fast paced, creative and would suit someone who has a passion for
supporting young people with barriers to education. Please note this role is for a September 2025
start.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Manage the transition into college of a cohort of complex learners with and without EHCPs
- Attend EHCP annual reviews and liaise closely with external stakeholders
- To work closely with internal college teams to ensure relevant information is passed on in a timely and accurate manner.
- To continue to develop SGS's transition process and offer to ensure we are offering a robust and quality start to the learner journey.
- Actively seek, record and act upon feedback from learners, parents/carers and other stakeholders.
Beneficial Skills & Qualifications
- Work with young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
- Confident in use of MS Office software
- Ability to negotiate progression opportunities for students
- Excellent organisation, time management and presentation skills.
