Sudeley Castle & Gardens are seeking a Barista to join their small yet busy catering team. In this
public-facing role, you will help support the smooth running of catering operations across the
Sudeley grounds.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Serving expertly prepared coffees and other high-quality beverages.
- Support the development of the coffee-making skills of the wider team.
- Provide a friendly and efficient welcome to visitors.
- Work safely to ensure that the catering function complies with current legislation and maintains its 5* Food Hygiene rating, to include completing daily paperwork as required.
- Handle customer orders efficiently and take payments carefully and accurately.
- Ensure a high standard of presentation throughout the catering operation, including clearing and cleaning tables, hardware and other equipment.
- Being attentive to the condition of equipment and facilities and reporting any issues which arise.
- Ensure stock levels are maintained, moving stock and hardware as required.
- Be aware of allergies, sell-by dates and other critical food safety aspects of the operation.
- Deputise for the Catering Manager as required.
- Undertake any other reasonable task commensurate with the scope of the role.
- Take reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves and others who may be affected by their acts or omissions at work.
- In addition, all employees are expected to work within the terms of their contract of employment.
The successful candidate will have:
- Barista experience delivering front of house service within a fastpaced catering setting.
- A keen eye for detail, well organised, and the ability to work effectively without supervision.
- The ability in multitasking and managing multiple priorities while staying resilient.
- Strong communication skills, demonstrating professionalism and reliability.
- Experience of using a barista coffee machine and ePos till system would be beneficial but not essential as training will be given.
This is a full-time seasonal contract of 40 hours per week from 14 th March to 1 st November 2026
with flexibility to cover weekends and holidays. 28 days paid holiday per annum pro rata including bank holidays.
