Due to our current Deputy Headteacher going on maternity leave, the governors are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and knowledgeable professional to work as Deputy Headteacher from September 2025. This post is a maternity cover, however a secondment from the applicant’s current school will also be supported for the duration of the post. The post holder will be an integral leader in our Senior Leadership Team, working closely alongside the Headteacher, with responsibility for Teaching and Learning, Attendance Champion, support with Curriculum and Assessment, Maths and Science subject lead. This post is not suited to an Early Career Teacher.

• Will demonstrate visible leadership during the course of the formal and extended school day
• Will lead by example especially when implementing change and improving standards
• Will demonstrate high standards of personal integrity, loyalty, discretion and professionalism
• Will publicly support decisions of the Headteacher and Governing Body
• Will be prepared to challenge and discuss decisions in Senior Leadership Meetings
• Will take full responsibility for the school in the absence of the headteacher
