About the Role

  • Support the Equine Department in providing an outstanding, safe and professional experience for students, commercial clients and visitors, whilst ensuring the highest standards of horse welfare
  • The role supports the Equine Team in the day to day running of the Equine Centre, assisting with the supervision of students whilst undertaking practical tasks and supervising student liveries.
  • Support the management of student liveries and full liveries promoting high standards of care, welfare and yard management
  • Maintain a safe, organised and professional environment ensuring all activities are carried out in line with health and safety requirements
  • You will also be part of our team hosting and assisting with the running of International Equine Events and commercial bookings throughout the year
  • You will stay in shared accommodation comprising of a single occupancy double bedroom within a shared farmhouse situated on-site. Facilities include a large communal living room, kitchen and garden with parking

 

About You 

  • You will be team player who has high standards of horse care and the enthusiasm and drive to motivate students
  • Passionate about horse care and welfare, with a commitment to maintaining high professional standards
  • You will be keen to develop your own skills and will have the opportunity to improve your riding ability through two staff development lessons each week
  • Ideally, you will hold a BHS Stage 2 or equivalent industry recognised qualification
  • You will have excellent communication skills and a positive, flexible approach to work
  • Experience of working within a large equine yard, commercial yard or educational setting would be advantageous
