Level 2 Childcare Apprenticeship – Winton House Private Day Nursery

Shoots Training are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking individual to complete their Level 2 Childcare Apprenticeship at Winton House Private Day Nursery.

At Winton House Day Nursery, we aim to provide quality childcare and preschool education for children from birth to 5 years, with an emphasis on learning through play, set in a beautiful, homely environment.

Winton House Day Nursery provides a safe, caring environment for children, run by qualified, experienced staff. The nursery is set in a beautiful home close to Hatherley Park, with bright, airy, well-equipped playrooms, and benefits from having a lovely safe, large garden.

We provide a carefully planned and structured environment, full of opportunities for children to experiment and initiate their own learning activities, at their own pace. Each child is valued as an individual, high self-esteem, respect for others, confidence and early independence are all encouraged. Above all, we aim for the children in our care to be happy and safe.

We have three nursery groups:

1. Babies 0-2 years
2. Toddlers 2-3 years
3. Pre-School 3-5 years

Your duties and responsibilities will include;

• To ensure the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) is promoted and delivered within the setting and the principles adhered to.
• To meet the needs of individual children from differing cultures and religious backgrounds, and stages of development.
• The preparation and completion of activities to suit the child's stage of development.
• To ensure that mealtimes are a time of pleasant social sharing.
• Washing and changing children as required.
• To ensure that children are kept safe, and that staff understand and, when necessary, follow Safeguarding Procedure.
• Undertake domestic jobs within the setting, e.g. preparation of snack meals, cleansing of equipment, caring for pets, leaving rooms tidy, hygiene ect …
• To create a welcoming and family friendly environment.
• Ensure the policies and procedures are always adhered to.

Requirements;

• You must be able to gain a clear DBS

Hours;

• Winton House Private Day Nursery is open from 8:00am – 6:00pm Monday to Friday
• The successful candidate will be required to work 40 hours per week
