Apprentice Medical Receptionist/Prescription Clerk x2
Gloucester
As a Medical Receptionist, you will usually be the first-person patients speak to when they come to the surgery. You will need to maintain a friendly but effective first point of contact and deal with enquiries appropriately. you will also work as a prescription clerk alongside a team of professionals This role covers both roles as a split post.
Training course: Customer service practitioner (level 2)
Duration: 1 Year 6 Months

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
Your duties will include:
- Answering patient queries on the phone and on the reception desk
- Booking patients with the right clinician
- Following Care Navigation protocols
- Actioning prescription requests
- Answering prescription queries on the phone and front desk
- Dealing with online enquiries
