About the Role
As an apprentice, you’ll play an important role in creating a safe, happy, and stimulating environment where children can thrive. You’ll be supported every step of the way by experienced staff, gaining hands-on experience while working towards your Level 3 qualification.
You’ll help children explore, learn, and grow, building positive relationships and supporting their development through play and structured activities.
What You’ll Be Doing
With guidance from senior staff, you will:
- Support fun and engaging learning activities for individual children and small groups
- Help children develop key skills through play and exploration
- Assist in creating exciting learning resources
- Help supervise children to ensure a safe and nurturing environment
- Observe, monitor, and record children’s progress
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
- Follow nursery policies and procedures
- Work towards your apprenticeship qualification with dedication and enthusiasm.
You’ll also gain experience in the wider role of an Early Years Practitioner as part of your development.

Experience with children (even in a voluntary or informal setting) is desirable, but not essential.
Qualifications:
GCSE Maths and English (Grade C/4 or equivalent) are desirable, but not required.
Your Apprenticeship Journey
You’ll work towards completing the Level 3 Early Years Educator.
Apprenticeship, gaining valuable skills and qualifications along the way.
As part of your training, you will complete:
- Functional Skills in Maths and English (if required)
- Paediatric First Aid
- Safeguarding training
- Food hygiene training
