Senior Theatre Technician - 3494943

This is a permanent, full time vacancy.
The Vacancy
Dean Close Foundation are looking to appoint a Senior Theatre Technician to join our Bacon Theatre team. This role is mainly based in the Bacon Theatre but in addition provides technical support for associated venues across the site.
The Theatre Technical team delivers the technical requirements of the year-round public programme of events in The Bacon Theatre, as well as outdoor staged events, all of which run alongside a substantial schedule of venue hire and high calibre Dean Close School productions and events. Other roles and responsibilities include:
- Lead technical support of The Bacon Theatre and venues across the Dean Close School campus to meet the level of technical services required daily.
- Mixing sound and system engineering (predominantly A&H SQ6)
- Supporting the construction and/or delivery of set pieces.
- To uphold high standards of safety, behaviour, and operation for the venues in accordance with site-wide Health & Safety procedures.
- Facilitating Scholar curriculum and extra curricula activities in the Bacon Theatre.
- Providing backstage/technical training to scholars
- Managing upcoming technical schedules
- Managing the Stage Lighting and Audio-Visual budget.
An ideal candidate for this role would be resourceful, knowledgeable and a strong team player happy to work on their own and within a team. With prior experience working with EOS family consoles (ion, element, apex), and/ or Allen & Heath consoles (SQ, QU, CQ).
