ShareAs our joint Fire Safety Lead, you will provide a consultancy service which will include carrying out comprehensive fire risk assessments and identifying requirements for control measures across a range of building types and processes. Developing positive actions and behaviours throughout your audits, inspections, and awareness campaigns, you will develop innovative ways to foster a proactive fire safety culture.
You will be experienced in providing fire safety advice within a complex organisation with a wide range of facilities. You will have a comprehensive knowledge of current fire safety legislation and standards, and experience of carrying out fire risk assessments.
You will take end-to-end ownership of your work and be a key member of our Safety, Health and Employee Wellbeing Service.
You will also have:
- excellent written and verbal skills whilst working with, providing advice to, training, and promoting excellence in fire safety to staff members at all levels.
- a proactive risk-based approach to help foster a positive fire safety culture, across a wide range of buildings, facilities, and operational matters.
- a NEBOSH National Certificate in Fire Safety or similar level fire safety qualification.
- a commitment to your own personal continuing professional development and to mentoring others.
- the ability to empower others to improve performance and ensure compliance to relevant fire safety standards.
- experience of collaborating closely with external regulatory authorities for Fire Safety and related matters.

This is a part-time role, working two days a week (0.4 fte) for a fixed-term period of 6 months
Primarily based at our Claverton Down campus, you will also need to travel to our other properties in Bath.
