We are looking for Engineers to further strengthen our growing Civil and Structural Engineering team at our Cheltenham office due to our increasing workload. Davidson Walsh provides Civil and Structural Engineering expertise to a wide range of projects with design innovation and attention to detail at its heart.
We provide the most optimum solutions to ensure that the global design team and our professional colleagues deliver only the most efficient and sustainable design solutions. The team that you will be joining is highly experienced in all aspects of Civil and Structural Engineering, which will provide the perfect platform to allow you to share your expertise and ideas and in turn develop your own knowledge, skills and professional career. It is an exciting time to join Davidson Walsh as the company expands. We are recruiting for several positions at different levels of experience.
The position would suit a driven, enthusiastic, intelligent, confident & ambitious computer literate person who has a good teamworking and collaborative approach to work. We are looking for Engineers who have been working in the UK for at least 3 years. We are committed to supporting you on your journey to Chartership if appropriate.
Some of the fields we work in include Residential, Commercial, Industrial, Healthcare, Education, Highways, Infrastructure, Bridges, Drainage, Energy and Listed Buildings.
What we need from you:
- The candidate should hold a Civil or Structural Engineering Degree.
- Follow an evidence-based approach to design and show good working procedures by referring to relevant design codes and technical documentation.
- Able to work efficiently using your own initiative, with good decision-making & problem-solving skills.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of project documentation and adhere to our standards and procedures.
- Multiple positions available therefore open to newer Project Engineers, to newly Chartered Engineers.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within the team - as well as collaborate with professional colleagues including Architects, Planning consultants etc; to coordinate designs, as well as hold discussions with clients where requiredrelevant to your experience.
- Computer literate (Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook) and Project related administration tasks as required.
- At least 3 years’ experience of working in the UK as a Project Engineer working to Eurocodes.
- It would be beneficial if you have experience in the following software:
Autodesk AutoCAD
Autodesk Civil 3D
Autodesk REVIT
Robot Structural Analysis
Tekla Structural Designer & Tedds
- Hold a valid UK driving licence.
