Vacancy - Bakery Operative
We are looking to recruit a permanent Bakery Operative for our client. You will work within a small bakery team to manufacture organic bread and cake loaves. This is an exciting time to join our client as they expand their team and grow the business further.
Responsibilities:
• Operate a range of equipment safely to produce our unique breads and cakes
• Unload and operate Sprouting vessels, Silo augurs, Divider/Extruder, mixer and mincers
• Load and unload ovens
• Work on a packing line both loading (“tipping”) and unloading
• Daily cleaning of machines, tools, and equipment.
• Operate the labelling machine
• Manage finished and semi-finished goods as per FIFO procedures
Requirements:
• A team player – we are a small team so the ability to work as part of a small team is vital.
• Encouraging and motivating – we have a positive working environment where successes and non-successes are shared. You will be required to work hard and contribute to these successes.
• Punctual and hygienic – You must turn up to work when agreed. As you will be working with food, a clean and hygienic approach with yourself and to your environment is required.
• Adapt and change – small business operations can fluctuate daily. You will be required to adapt your daily operations in-line with the days processes.
• Health and safety – You must adhere to the health and safety policies for our business. Do not worry, we will talk you through everything you need to know before you start work.
• Ability to manage yourself, others and the business
Full training will be provided. Some experience with food manufacturing would be ideal but it is not necessary.
