The Advocacy & Campaigns Manager is a key role within UoGSU ensure that the Students’ Union operates as a democratic organisation, that the student voice is heard and a part of everything we do.

About the role

Student voice is central to the SU, a key part of what makes us a special place to work and critical to our mission to support students to have the best experience possible whilst they study at UOG.

The Advocacy and Campaigns Manager leads a team of people whilst also supported elected and employed student leaders to shape the student experience of all UoGSU members. A critical management role, there is scope to shape a team and develop on a solid foundation and fruitful partnership with our institution.

Job Title: Advocacy & Campaigns Manager
Location: Across all of the main UoGSU sites, with a flexible working policy.
Department: Student Voice and Advocacy
Reports to: Chief Operating Officer
Salary: £30,002pa
Contract Type: Full Time, permanent
Hours: Full time, normally 9am-5pm. Monday to Friday. Some flexible hours required to meet demands of the Students’ Union

Benefits: 25 days holiday pro rata, contributory pension scheme available, excellent flexible working policy including some home working when appropriate

Main purpose of the job

The role exists to ensure that the Students’ Union operates as a democratic organisation and that the student voice is heard and a part of everything we do. The position will:

Lead on academic representation

Support and develop our democratic functions

Advice and advocacy leadership
