Care Assistant - Day Shifts

Cheltenham

Hampton House has been providing quality care to our elderly residents since 1999.  We are looking for an experienced individual who already lives locally to the home, and who has worked with elderly people in a care related setting.   We are not offering Sponsorship vacancies for overseas applicants.

Hampton House is situated in Leckhampton, 1 mile from Cheltenham town centre.  We are on a local bus route and there is free parking in the local area.

The successful experienced applicant will join a strong  and friendly “day" team of committed staff, who are dedicated to our residents and their needs. We are offering a full-time position, 32 1/2 hours or 39 hours per week, working on a rota basis, to include alternate weekends with an additional hourly weekend pay enhancement.

The job is varied and responsible.  Your duties include, supporting our elderly residents with all aspects of personal care, the administration of medication, your support providing stimulation and entertainments to our residents, serving of meals, light housekeeping duties.

Job Details:   

Day shifts are from  7.30am and finish at 8.30pm.

This can be taken as 1 whole day, 13 hour day shift. Or this can be split into Morning shifts, 7.30am to 2.00pm, and Afternoon shifts, 2.00pm to 8.30pm.

Wages:  

From £11.25 per hour (due to be reviewed in April 2024). Weekend enhancement of an additional £2.00 per hour.

Do you have these professional skills? 

• Previous experience of elderly care - this is essential.
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 - this is preferable and your pay rate is adjusted depending upon your qualifications.
