Boarding House Matron

Cheltenham

This is a permanent, full time vacancy.

The Vacancy

Dean Close Foundation are looking to appoint a new non-residential Boarding House Matron to start in September 2024, working during term times, 34 weeks per year. The matron is an integral part of the boarding house team and should be fully involves in the running and management of the house.

It is important that the matron is able to establish a friendly rapport with the pupils to increase the homely feel of the house and to be available as an alternative listening ear whilst upholding the rules of the house and school. The ideal person will be interested in young people and keen to get to know them well over the course of their school career but will be willing to take a firm line and insist on proper standards.
