Chef de Partie

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Chef de Partie to join our team based in a traditional country inn near Cirencester in the Cotswolds (Bibury). The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. You will play a vital role in the preparation and presentation of meals, ensuring that each dish meets our restaurant's standards. This position requires teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients for meal preparation, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and measuring ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including workstations, utensils, and equipment.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods.
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management as needed.
- Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety procedures.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar culinary role is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy restaurant setting.
- Excellent culinary skills with attention to detail in meal preparation and presentation.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
- A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new techniques.
